Which time of day is best?
■ Day — With sunlight, photos come out best, and fewer passengers mean more room to look around.
■ Sunset & Peak — The Suyeonggang River and Gwangan Bridge are at their prettiest around sunset, so this is our most popular time. On cloudy days you may not see the sunset.
■ Night — Great for the night views of Gwangan Bridge and Marine City. Sailings from 18:00 Sun–Fri and from 18:30 on Saturdays include fireworks. (Earlier sailings include an instant photo.)
■ Drone Show · Dinner Cruise — These run on set days and times, so please check the departure timetable.
How many people usually board?
River 49 carries up to 40 people. Sunset and night sailings are the busiest, but the boat is divided into 1F indoor · 1F outdoor · 2F rooftop areas, so you can move around and enjoy it comfortably.
If you would like the boat to yourselves, choose a Private Tour (base 30 people · max. 40).
What time should I book to see the sunset?
Sunset times change with the seasons. Choose a Sunset & Peak sailing for that time of year from the departure timetable.
Search online for "Haeundae Busan sunset time" to check the exact time, and we recommend a sailing that departs 30–40 minutes before sunset.
What is the Dinner Cruise?
A sailing that combines a K-FOOD meal box, 30 minutes of live busking and fireworks against the night view of the Suyeonggang River. It takes about 50 minutes.
You can check the days and times in the departure timetable. For details, see the Dinner Cruise page.
How long is the cruise?
All tours last about 50 minutes.
Check-in is required, so please arrive at the ticket office at least 30 minutes before departure.
If I arrive late, can I take the next sailing or get a refund?
All sailings are booked in advance, so if you miss boarding because you are late, we cannot refund or change your booking.
Boarding may also be refused if you do not have ID with you. (A copy or photo of your passport or Alien Registration Card is accepted.)
Please arrive at the ticket office with your ID at least 30 minutes before departure.
Is the sailing cancelled if it rains on the day?
We sail as normal in ordinary rain, and in that case bookings cannot be cancelled or changed. The 1F indoor cabin keeps you dry, and we provide raincoats free of charge.
If we cannot sail because of a weather advisory or warning issued by the Korea Meteorological Administration (high seas, typhoon, heavy rain, etc.), we will change your date free of charge.
Are there life jackets on board?
The boat carries inflatable marine life jackets.
Wearing one is not required under Korea's Pleasure Boat and Ferry Business Act, but if you would like one, our staff will help you.
Can I bring my pet?
Small dogs may board if kept in a cage, carrier or bag. (They cannot be taken out during the cruise, and pet strollers are not allowed.)
Please let your dog relieve itself before boarding, and take care that barking or sudden behaviour does not disturb other guests. Dogs in heat or suspected of having an infectious disease may be refused.
On a Private Tour, you are welcome to bring your pet freely. Please keep it on a lead and help us keep everyone safe.
I am worried about seasickness.
The course follows the Suyeonggang River and the coast, so the water is fairly calm, and the day sailing is the steadiest.
If the motion bothers you, you can stay in the 1F indoor seats.
Where can I park?
We do not have our own car park. If you use the Busan Cinema Center car park, we cover 2 hours of free parking — just tell the ticket office your licence plate number. It is about a 7-minute walk to the ticket office.
The APEC Naru Park car park is about a 10-minute walk away, but free parking is not provided there. Space can be tight at weekends.
By subway, it is a 5-minute walk from Exit 12 of Centum City Station (Line 2). See Directions for details.
Can I bring food or a cake?
On the Public Tour, no food is allowed except drinks. Cakes are not allowed either.
On a Private Tour, you may bring drinks and food. (Light finger food is fine, but strong-smelling food such as soups, raw fish or gimbap is not allowed.)
On board, we offer water, drinks and snacks free of charge.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
You receive a 100% refund 5 days before, 50% 3 days before and 30% 1 day before your booked date; cancellations on the day are not refundable.
If a sailing is cancelled because of a weather advisory or warning issued by the Korea Meteorological Administration, we will change your date free of charge. (Ordinary rain is not included.)
You may change your date or time once only, up to 3 days before your booked date.
If you cannot board because you arrive late or do not have ID with you, we cannot refund or change your booking.
